Product Description
Pink Belly Snappers are found on the South Pacific island of New Guinea. Their shells are brown and each scute usually has a dark spot in the center. Their belly, throat and chin is a bright pink. They are highly aquatic and only bask occasionally. They are mostly carnivorous, taking pellets, fish and meat, but will eat some water plants.
Unlike their name implies, Pink Bellied Snappers are not at all related to North American Snapping Turtles, and are not at all aggressive. They make very good tank turtles and do very well with most other strong swimming tropical turtles.

Pink Belly Snapper- yearling
Was a little worried about weather as it got a little colder than I expected but turtle arrived with heat pack. After a few minutes in the dry basking area he/she slid into the water and was swimming around and eating within the hour. This species is very active and they're very capable swimmers. They don't bask a lot like some other turtles but when they do they like to still be in the water a little bit so you can try to set up their enclosure accordingly and have your heat lamp a little bit over the water instead of totally over the dry area. Very fun to watch.

Love this little guy
I received a yearling turtle. It came alive and healthy. He was very active and awake upon arrival. He has a great little personality! He's a few days into his new tank setup and very active and not shy at all. Packaging was perfect. Came on time. No hassles. Customer service was awesome and answered all my questions. I used a different place for my previous turtle but will use this place from here out. They were a little more pricey but worth it in my opinion.
