Product Description
Pink Belly Snappers are found on the South Pacific island of New Guinea. Their shells are brown and each scute usually has a dark spot in the center. Their belly, throat and chin is a bright pink. They are highly aquatic and only bask occasionally. They are mostly carnivorous, taking pellets, fish and meat, but will eat some water plants.
Unlike their name implies, Pink Bellied Snappers are not at all related to North American Snapping Turtles, and are not at all aggressive. They make very good tank turtles and do very well with most other strong swimming tropical turtles.
