Product Description
Reeves turtles are one of the world's smallest turtles, Also called the Three Keeled Pond Turtle, they are one of the many amazing Asian turtle species that are threatened by over collecting for the Chinese food market. This is the same friendly, sharp featured, little turtle that was very popular in the pet trade in the 1970's and before. Thankfully, we and several other US turtle breeders have been successfully hatching them for many years now. They are very personable and friendly little turtles that do fine in smaller set ups - think of them as the ideal turtle for a small home or apartment... As adults, a pair will do fine in a 20 gallon "long" or larger aquarium.
Reeves Turtles, (Chinemys Reevesii), are a lover of shallow water that like to bask. They are omnivorous, feeding readily on pellets, aquatic plants, fruits and greens, along with worms, insects, fish and meat.
With a maximum size of only 4 - 5 inches, Reeves Turtles make excellent first turtles. They are a very hardy species, with lots of personality, making them fine additions to any home wanting to bring a little bit of the natural world inside to appreciate and enjoy.

I was a little nervous to order at first but took a chance for my little girl!! What a great decision I made! They went above and beyond for me and my little girl for her first pets! My little girl has not stopped talking about them since they came in! They were shipped extremely fast and very safe!! Im sure we will be back to add more to our collection. I called and actually spoke to people and they were so kind and helpful! Thank you again! :)

When I opened the package these guys came in, it was almost as if they had put the Chinese Reeves turtle on top just to bring Christmas morning to you all over again. For only being the size of a silver dollar he had everyone’s attention. Lots of personality in such a small package. Looks like I’ll have to wait til the next batch to get a couple more, these guys went fast.

I want to start by thanking The Turtle Source for making sure the order was completed as requested. My Reeves hatchling arrived safe in the box and was very active when let out. Its tank had been set up two weeks prior, and took my turtle a bit to get used to its new home but after three months, it's thriving on its own! It loves to eat its baby turtle pellets along with meal worms. Soon I'll be introducing different treats for it but in the meantime, it's eating really well. Bought my Reeves turtle hatchling in January this year, now at the end of March, it's super active, swimming all over its tank, and exploring every inch of it. It likes to spend a lot of time by the substrate and occasionally hides in the plants. Such an adorable turtle! Thanks again
