Kwangtung River Turtles are essentially extinct in Nature. Chinese Golden Thread Turtles are becoming more and more scarce. We have actually succeeded in hybridizing them - really... One clutch of nine hatchlings, showing varying amounts of both species' traits hatched & no two are the same. Each has some of the pretty Golden Thread head patterning - and each has lots of the famed Kwangtung River bright belly markings (see the photos).
One very nice aspect of these hybrids is that while they all look more Kwang Tung than Golden Thread - they all have certainly inherited the overly outgoing & inquisitive Golden Thread personalities... A first in American breeding, and with Kwangtung River Turtle prices sky rocketing in recent years, here is your chance to keep a very unique - and very friendly little turtle at a "non extinct" price
