Eastern painted turtles are excellent for small tanks or larger community set ups. Once over three inches they make fine additions for outdoor ponds.
True omnivores, they will eat most water plants, pellets, insects, fish, worms crustaceans, romaine lettuce and meat. These very colorful turtles will quickly learn to come to feeding hands, love to bask, and stay quite active. An excellent choice for beginning and intermediate keepers.

2 inch Eastern Painted turtles
On 12/30/2022, I received my 2 inch Eastern Painted Turtle from the turtle source. My beautiful little turtle was packed well and was very active once I took him out of the box and placed him into his new home. Taylor was a great help. Yearling eastern painted turtles
Yesterday, I received two of the best looking and healthy yearling eastern painted turtles from the turtle source. There were no issues and as soon as I unpacked the little guys and put them in their new enclosure, they immediately ate the turtle food that was offered to them.

I am very happy with my hatchling Eastern painted turtle. I only have amazing things to say about the turtle source! Great Info on thier website and emailed me back with answers to my questions. Amy was awesome and very helpful with emails and phone call. I got my turtle delivered in 24hrs! Turtle was packaged great and even with heating pads to make sure it would stay warm enough all the way to Alaska! My hatchling is beautiful and healthy! I deffinaly recommend buying a turtle/tortoise through them, you won't regret it! Thank you for making this first time turtle mom very happy!

Advertised as "well-established hatchling," suggesting a few months or even a year's growth. Instead, it must have been a few days old: hardly bigger than a nickel.
