Eastern Painted Turtle

My eastern painted turtle and my albino red ear slider that I received from this company both died suddenly within a day. I had issues with their shipping and they arrived late and not at their expected time, so I had a fuss with them over the complication. I would hate for them to have sent me two sick or unwell turtles out of spite, but with the sudden death that I experienced with both turtles, something doesn’t seem right. I have several other turtles in the tank with them and all of them are doing well, except for the two that suddenly died.

When I received my turtle, he had a lot of personality. He was very happy, very healthy, and there were no visible issues when he arrived. As we cared for him with proper care over the next six months, we noticed he wasn’t growing. Started to change his diet, thinking it wasn’t enough calcium or something and started giving him calcium supplements, making sure the worms that we gave him were high in calcium, lots of proper lighting, a proper basking area, but he still didn’t seem to grow. He was eating always, super active, the best turtle you could ask for. We thought it was really cute that he didn’t grow and didn’t realize that getting a runt is pretty much an immediate shorter lifespan. Once he passed suddenly, I dove into a rabbit hole to see what the problem could be, and upon researching realized him being small was a big problem. I wasn’t going to write this review, but now that my albino red-ear slider has died suddenly also, I’m starting to think there’s something wrong with the supplier. I am heartbroken by both of my losses.

My turtle arrived healthy and active which is always a good thing. The only thing I am not very happy about is both my painted turtle and my pink bellied side neck that I got a week or so apart from this company both have stuck algae on their shells. Not sure how they house there turtles for sale, but I never have had these issues with captive turtles. I will be working on getting both their shells healthier looking.

Received my turtle as told and immidently the turtle was swimming around in its new home. I would buy my next turtle from The Turtle Source again.

Myrtle came to us about the size of a quarter, full of piss and vinegar. The cutest thing you could ever see. Myrtles turtle aquarium is showing up today where she will reside until she reaches about 3 to 4 inches where she will move to our koi pond in about 1 1/2 to 2 years.

Before I even received my well started hatchling I knew this company was a good choice. I got a call earlier in the week from an extremely friendly lady telling me I needed to reschedule because of excessive heat. I loved that they cared enough to get ahold of me for that. Then when I opened the very well packaged turtle, I couldn’t believe how tiny and healthy it was! The baby ate immediately, has been basking, pooping fine and has been absolutely thriving in his or her tank. Absolutely happy with my baby and very recommended!

She is precious and perfect. I ordered her in the afternoon she was here the next morning at 10:00am. Very happy. I will order again. I am calling her a female I am not actually sure at this point

I am very impressed with how responsive their customer service team is and how they answered all of our questions and offered great advice that helped us decide on which turtle would suit us best. We’ve had our little turtle for almost a week and have had no issues. It arrive well packaged and healthy. It was full of energy as soon as we placed it in its aquarium. We plan on getting it a mate pretty soon!

Wonderful experience. I made a mistake on my delivery date and it was taken care of immediately. Care was taken to make sure my turtle was shipped carefully and safely. My Eastern Turtle arrived on time and in good health. I am very Happy with my purchase.i look forward to doing business with them in the future.
