Hypo Pastel Peninsula Cooter: Pseudemys floridana peninsularisCategory: Cooter Experience Level: Starter [?] DescriptionThis is a wild one! The pictures don't lie - in fact, the turtle is even prettier in person... At just over 4 inches, this turtle looks like a male already. Just imagine if the gene for this trait is dominant & every hatchling looked like this... At very least, the second generation will be loaded with more like this one... Most keepers know that Cooters tend to darken up as they mature - not this one - it just keeps getting brighter... This turtle behaves just like a normal Peninsula Cooter, and it's description and husbandry is identical to that of normal colored Peninsula Cooters which follows: Peninsula Cooters are a very hardy species. Mainly herbivores, juveniles will eat some fish and insects, but become more vegetarian with age. Pellets and greens, along with occasional fruits, are all they need to thrive. This species is an excellent community tank turtle. They love to bask, especially in groups. Adults are very good outdoor pond turtles in summer months, or year round in warmer climates. Peninsula Cooters are an excellent choice for just getting started with turtles, or for any keepers who want to see some“pretty green”in their community set ups. * Remember, each turtle order comes with a free starter sample of the same Turtle diet your Turtle has been raised on - this will last one small turtle a few weeks - to order larger quantities, see the lower left side of this page. * Restricted StatesOR Terms & ConditionsPlease read and review carefully before purchasing.
