Narrow Bridged Musk Turtle (Adult): Claudius Angustatus

Description

We have three, 4+ year old Adult Female Claudius angustatus. We have raised these ourselves from hatchlings. Several of the same group have begun to lay eggs for us. Nearly full grown, these turtles can be properly kept in a tank as small as a 20 gallon long... They love pellets, cut fish, and pretty much any protein food in reach. Anyone thinking of breeding this extremely rare species would do well with one of these females. Their species description follows:

The only species in their Genus Claudius, Angustatus are one of, if not the rarest captive bred turtles in the world. Found only in limited regions of Belize, Guatemala and Mexico, they are ferocious feeders, with very aggressive dispositions. They usually mellow and allow themselves to be handled without snapping. Claudius are capable of swimming backward, and even of cloacal respiration to supplement surface breathing. Prized the world over by turtle aficionados, Claudius are truly at the highest level of turtle keeping. They are available on only a very limited basis. We have only 4 Two year olds available now.
