These two Red Eared Sliders were born in July, missing the major portions of their shells. Covering their bones is a silver/gray membrane that makes them look more like Halloween masks than turtles...
Each behaves just like a normal red ear, and are doing very well. They eat and swim perfectly; and even bask quite a bit. When thinking of unique turtles, these two are truly way out there...
One interesting note: these two are very calm if they are touching each other - even if just a finger tip, but they are almost never still if not - even individual pics were hard to take... & Other turtles have no effect on them - it is some kind of connection to each other . . .
