Product Description

Countless requests for juvenile Red Eared Sliders have inspired us to make this species available in the highest quality possible. We hatch & hand raise Red Ears to pond size for our customers all the time - now we're making juveniles and yearlings available at a most affordable price - remember, the shipping charge is the same for 1 to 6 of all our small sized turtles. (Mix and match as you like)

The most common turtle available the world over, Red Eared Sliders make excellent starter turtles, and adults will brighten up outdoor ponds in nearly all U.S temperature zones. They do well in tanks, water and land setups, and when kept with most other species.

They bask frequently, and will even pile on top of each other for the best sunning position. In community set ups, it's often the red ears example that quicken other species taming down. Red Ears are omnivorous, eating pellets, most greens, insects, fish, mollusks etc.

**Please Note: Red Eared Sliders are not allowed to be shipped to Virginia, Oregon or Florida. Rarer color morphs of Red Eared Sliders, such as Albino Red Ears, Pastel Red Ears, Hypo Red Ears, Hypo Translucent and Ghost Red Ears are permitted to be shipped to Florida. Please contact us if you have any questions - Thank you.**

    Red Eared Slider Hatchling

Posted by Unknown on Sep 21st 2023

Turtle arrived shortly before noon the day they were supposed to. Packaging, however, was questionable. The box came with styrofoam insulation with holes poked in the side, presumably for air flow. Problem is, the title was inside a sealed togo soup container inside the box, with no air holes in the plastic container. Additionally, if you insulate a box but then pkke holes in it, is it really insulated? Was probably a pretty cold plane ride for the little dude. Inside the soup container was one half sheet of dry paper towel. Maybe this was wet to provide some moisture before UPS picked it up, but sure didn't look like it. In between the container and the box was one sheet of newspaper, so in addition to it being a cold, suffocating trip, it was likely very bouncy too. Really surprised more thought wasn't put into to this to do a live reptile. So far the little guy seems to be doing OK but was really sluggish when he first arrived and slept nearly the entire day, no doubt exhausted and stressed out from the trip; just glad I was home to receive the box and get him out as soon as possible.
