The most common turtle available the world over, Red Eared Sliders make excellent starter turtles, and adults will brighten up outdoor ponds in nearly all U.S temperature zones. They do well in tanks, water and land setups, and when kept with most other species.
They bask frequently, and will even pile on top of each other for the best sunning position. In community set ups, it's often the red ears example that quicken other species taming down. Red Ears are omnivorous, eating pellets, most greens, insects, fish, mollusks etc.

Red Eared Slider Hatchling
So far so good. Have had the turtle 24 hours now and it's very active and eating well. I'd purchased another hatchling from a different company a few weeks ago and it didnt even survive the first 2 days - had no energy and wouldn't eat. I feel way more confident about this little one.

Red Eared Slider Hatchlings
I bought two hatchlings. I love both of them. Each one has a different personality. They love hanging around with each other. They actually arrived on my doorstep 3 hours earlier than expected! This is my first time ever purchasing and caring for turtles. These two seem to be happy and healthy.

Great turtle
We received our little hatchling on time, delivered to our door, even though we live in an apartment building. The little guy looks great and seems very healthy. He wouldn't eat for a couple days, which we read is normal, and now he is eating and very active. We love him! We would order from The Turtle Source again.
