Product Description
Mississippi Map Turtles are excellent starter turtles, and they make fine community turtles as well. As with most maps, they have very detailed shell and skin patterns. True omnivores, they will take pellets, plant matter, insects, fish, mollusks and earth worms.
Mississippi maps are fond of basking, but quickly dive in when approached. In time, they overcome this instinct and become quite tame. They are very good tank turtles, and adults also do well in outdoor ponds.

Hatchling Mississippi Map Turtle
I love Spike. He’s so sweet and adorable!!! The Turtle Source is the BEST place to get your live turtles. They were fast, kind and caring! The greatest part was the fact they took extra care of my turtle before shipping. Thank you so much for our new family member!!! A+++++ rating!!!

Mississippi Map turtle
Nice looking turtle but different than than the picture. The picture had concentric rings in the shell and this one doesn't have any.

Great Starter Experience
My little guy arrived just as promised and took to his new home really well. He is now about 4" and I put him in a 45 gallon tank. He isn't at all interested in his fishing buddies at all. He loves his basking perch. I couldn't be happier. He eats from my fingers and comes up to greet my 3 year old grandson when he visits.

Best purchase ever!!!
Purchased baby in March and he arrived healthy and raring to go. He has since grown a bit and is the happiest liveliest map turtle I’ve ever had. Definitely will purchase again when I get more space for a second one
