Product Description

Marginated Tortoises are found in the hilly woodlands and olive groves of it's native Greece. Their husbandry is nearly identical to Herman's Tortoises. A good UVB basking bulb and a basking spot of 90 - 95 f is needed.

The Marginated Tortoise is a true herbivore, taking grasses, flowers and fruits. We give ours Tortoise diet mixed with veggies and a good calcium supplement. We also offer squash and occasionally fruit.

One of the most attractive of the Mediterranean tortoises, Marginated Tortoises are one of the most active and outgoing of all tortoise species. Their easy going and friendly disposition makes them a pleasure to keep - and an excellent tortoise for tortoise enthusiasts just starting out.
