Amazing head markings make this one of the prettiest of all the African Turtles.
New to US captive breeding - only a handful of American breeders now work with this really cool looking turtle.
Their scientific name is: Pelusios bechuanicus
Pelusios - Meaning mud or clay
Bechuanicus - refering to the Bechuanaland Protectorate, now Botswana, where this species was first discovered...
They are solid carnivores and they love pellets and everything meat, fish or even insect while they are younger.
They are a long lived species that can be with you for decades.
