Yellow Bellied Sliders are mostly aquatic and love to bask. They make excellent starter turtles, and adults will add color to outdoor ponds in all but the coldest temperature zones. They do well in tanks, with primarily water setups, and get along very well when kept with most other species.
They bask frequently, and often pile on top of each other for the highest possible sunning position. In community set ups, Yellow Bellied Sliders are usually the first turtle that will become tame - setting the example for other species. Yellow Bellied Sliders are omnivorous, eating pellets, most greens, insects, fish, mollusks etc. Water plants are a favorite food and a favoritehang out. They are a fine species for community tanks and ponds.

Yellow Belly Slider Hatchling
My turtle came with a fungal infection and is on the verge of dying and will probably be dead by tomorrow morning which will be day three of me having it.

It was my first time ever ordering a reptile online and was a bit nervous. Bought 2 yellow bellies and they arrived quickly before the afternoon next day. At first, they were a bit shy and hid but a day later, both are super active, swimming around and eating. So far, I'm very happy with the purchase and highly recommend this source.

I have ordered 2 turtles. The first one died in 2 weeks. The newest one will not eat. I took it to a vet and was told he has pneumonia. The vet also said that I was sent the wrong food.

Best website to order from. We have ordered through others in the past and this one is the best one by far if you have any concerns or worries. Even through the Covid pandemic. You will receive your turtle within shipping expectation. Costumer service is a plus if needed you will actually get a response and an answer . The turtles are always packaged with care, not over done or unnecessary packaging added just for show that’s not needed. Turtles are very healthy and active when arrive. Hatchlings adjust very well and start eating quickly soon after delivery. They all are different in their own way but adjust well in time. Based on our experience through multiple sites where you can order a turtle this is the site to do so if you are questioning, hesitate, or have any doubts… use this one. Any negative reviews you read are probably from people who would not be satisfied no matter what & nothing in life would make them happy …. The type people that always leave negative reviews no matter what, or from unforeseen or uncontrollable circumstances that just happen sometimes in life, or from someone with lack of common sense. We have NEVER had an issues with this company. My husband and I are active in wildlife ### and educaters. This is my first review after multiple + orders over the last several years as I am about to order again I pulled the review email up through my email searching for the link to their site. Sorry to this company that I have never left a review but over the years and from many experiences I wish no one the frustration of other sites and to guide them to only this one . If they don’t have what you are looking for at the moment then my advice is to be patient until available.
