Description

Our Adult Greek tortoises are 4.5 - 5.5 inch, 390 - 490 gram young adults with striking markings. Originally from Jordan, these very long term captive tortoises are thriving on a diet of dark leafy greens, Timothy hay, squash, mixed veggies and Tortoise diet. We add a calcium supplement to their food, give natural sun or UVB; and soak them weekly.

Greek Tortoises are one of the most popular species with keepers the world over. Their outgoing and friendly personalities, along with their ability to quickly adapt to new environments is the key to their success. Ours have the classic high domed shells with exceptional markings. Greek Tortoises are a dry species and should never have a water bowl. Constant access to greens and short, shallow soakings (3 times a week for hatchlings, twice a week for yearlings and two year olds, and once each week for adults) is their source of hydration. We have three pairs available, along with 3 single females. These are an excellent opportunity to start keeping Greeks; or to add handsome“new blood”to an existing colony.
